DATA DELETION
Delete your data
Last updated 26 October 2026
You can ask Make Noise to delete your data at any time, and you can remove our app’s access to your Facebook Page or Instagram account yourself in a few clicks. This page covers both. For more detail, see our Privacy notice.
1. Ask us to delete your data
Email [email protected] with the subject “Data deletion”. Tell us your name, your business and which Facebook Page or Instagram account (if any) you connected, so we can find everything. We may reply to check the request really comes from you.
2. Remove our app’s access yourself
Our Meta app is called Make Noise Publisher. Removing it stops us publishing anything to your accounts straight away. Menu names sometimes move around, so if you can’t see an option, search for it in Settings.
On Facebook
- Click your profile picture, then Settings & privacy → Settings.
- Open Business integrations.
- Find Make Noise Publisher, tick it and click Remove.
In Meta Business Suite
- Open Meta Business Suite → Settings for your business.
- Under Integrations / Connected apps, remove Make Noise Publisher.
- If you gave Make Noise partner access, go to Users → Partners, choose Make Noise and remove it.
On Instagram
- Go to Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites.
- Find Make Noise Publisher and click Remove.
It’s still helpful to email us as well, so we can delete what we hold on our side.
What we delete
- The access token and Page/Instagram account IDs we stored for your accounts.
- Posts we prepared for you that haven’t been published yet, with their approval records.
- Photos, videos and business information you gave us, and your contact details.
- Your login to any private Make Noise dashboard.
We’ll do this within 30 days and email you to confirm when it’s done.
What we can’t delete
- Posts already published on your Facebook Page or Instagram account belong to your account. You can delete them yourself in Facebook or Instagram, or ask us to help before you remove our access.
- Records the law requires us to keep, such as invoices and contracts, are kept for 6 years and then deleted. We keep only what’s needed.
Questions? Email [email protected]. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
